Google Pixel's Friendmaker

On International Friendship Day, Google will host an experiential event to celebrate friendship and promote their new Google Pixel 6. Google will install “Matchpoint” The Matchpoint campaign will allow participants to interact with giant phones to make a videocall connection and interact with one another. This experience takes place on an easily accessible and slowly-rotating platform that facilitates an immersive 360-degree locations at city hubs.

The Matchpoint device will ask people a few screening questions about themselves such as their age, language, and location preferences. Then it will match them with someone in real time at a Matchpoint in the same city. Participants will be able to see the other person’s background, which will be recognizable attractions in each city, for instance, Times Squares or the Eiffel Tower in real-time.
